I like it when guys can discuss a potentially contentious issue in a mature fashion.

This list is for all of us LS1/LS6 guys who go Boosted. I have limited it to guys who drive on the street. The only way I can verify that is ask if it is licensed/insured. As for verification, vid was just ONE choice; a time slip, some corroboration and you are there. Scan your slip and email it to me... that's enough.

I'm not bringing anyone off the list... it's just when someone we've never heard of posts a time, we need some kind of credibility check, or it diminishes all the hard effort and money you guys have been talking about.

A list of mods helps us see why someone can make the car do what it does. That's why we require weight, info on stall, whether a car is heads/cam, tires they run, etc. Anyone playing with a full deck of card knows what time it is when they see the mods.

I'm inclined to leave things as they are, but this discussion has made everyone a little more aware of the differences in what cars go thru to get where they are.

It is not unreasonable (in all fairness) to have different ranks similar to the fact races have different classes. But, this list, to be manageable, may have to find a middle-ground between bracket and the "street: run what u brung" philosophy.

Let's just keep havin' fun!

I still say shop cars should have a blue stripe across the to or somthing of that fashion.
What other cars on the list are shop cars?
As for time slips, the best I can do is send it by mail, not e mail, mail mail, stamp and all. If you pm me with an adress, i'll send them, and you can scan them, Like i said i have a few people that posted on this thred that saw both 10 sec passes, and my 10.98 is on vid in the easter members. I know this statment on time slips wasnt a direct shot to me, But im just stating when i go faste (which i will) I have no way to prove it. But Alot of people know of me and have seen me race so my times will prob not be a problem, like most of the guys already on the list. It is the no name guys that are questionable.
I like the 1 list. It gives us little guys somthing to shoot for!!

What about street form vs. race form. Cars 1-13 all use E.T. streets or slicks. How many are on race gas? Race gas with a matching tune can add appr. 100hp. I ran 11.65 @ 123 in pure street form, not even lowering tire pressure. I feel I could cut alot deeper in the list with Sunoco 104 and E.T. streets (which I may do next year)). I'd like to see a pure street list which was pump gas with street tires, not even lowering tire pressure or doing anything else. Just drive in and run. By the way Mike I got booted off the list somehow. I'm still runnin'. You had me listed as 2000WS6Vert though, she's an 01 model. Tom

Why not do one list, but have the ability to sort by engine size, time, mph, 60 ft, individual mods, boost levels, etc. Basically you input the cars data in separate fields, that way if you want to see what the fastest incon, ati with stock internals and stock displacement runs you can.

2001WS6Vert, if you are booted off the list, it was inadvertent. I'll see if I have your times on a backup page, but you will have to update me if it has changed.

On the time-slip... I'll be the judge if I think it is necessary. Either post about the run in the forum or email me about the it. If it's suspect or I just don't know you, I may ask some questions or for a timeship. It's not against anybody... we're just trying to preserve the integrity of the List.

red WS6 99... I'll toy with the idea of some type of matrix that show what you refer to. If it's not too convoluted to maintain, I'll consider it.

I think either:

-Two list, one list is for unlimited, ie. C5R heads, multiple power adders.

OR

-One list, and expand it to more cars like 75.

PSJ has a decent idea...gives one motivation to move up the list..keeps the sponsers busy selling so one can watch themselve move up said list. i like it. Tech's top 50.

PSJ, I haven't limited the number of cars on the list... just put a separator at the top 10. So far, there are only about twenty guys that ahve times to ramnk them. (There are some guys who are listed as un-ranked, but Boosted, and the guys that are broken but working to bring it back up even have a section.

My take, too many lists on this site. One list, everyone included with search filters. If you want the forced induction list, there would be a filter for that. Nitrous list, no internal, etc. If you want to add another criteria for shop car, that's cool.

A little TLC and the list in the drag racing forum will be good to go. Then you guys can filter it so that the fastest black LS1 TA, WS6 on Sunday will be at the top of the list.

Some sort of credible evidence, like a copy of the time slip should be all that you need. Personally I trailer my car to the track simply because I have too much stuff to bring for race day and I've broken so many times in the middle of BFE that I have no interest in waiting for a ride home. I still drive my car on the street, I just choose to take the safer route to the track and back. No one should ever be penalized for being responsible like that. Plus, I hate the idea of picking up nails in drag tires then going to the track. It can potentially put other peoples lives at risk when you do stuff like that.

Anyway, lets fix the ET list and give it some more capability and I think you'll find that you can do a ton with it.

FWIW, I watched Ronnie Duke's car go 8.74 @ 159 and watched Mike Brown's car go 9.85 @ 138 last Friday at Norwalk. So that makes them officially #1 and #2 right? :p
