ive searched and i posted some questions myself a lil bit ago.. Ive heard of people running 10-12psi on stock internals with upgraded injectors.. how long they lasted and such I dont know.. but 8psi I know will be safe on a stock ls1.

Local guy ran 5psi on his sts kit bone stock motor with 42 injectors stock pump for last several years no problems. I would not go past the standard gate spring pressure of 7.5 on stock engine unless you put on like 317 heads that drop compression. You should be safe at that 7.5 /8 range if you don't get greedy with timing and run reasonable afr.
And of course run premium fuel.Alc injection couldn't hurt either.
