I bought one from josh at Kentucky Turbo and Performance, its pretty much the cheapest new f-body turbo kit you can get, and in my opinion and most others it is a really great kit.

It also isn't always bad when referring to KYTP prices and setups. I am very happy with my setup.

what kind of turbo do you have? i have a master power t70, 60lb injectors, fuel pump?, b&m trans cooler. and i did all the work myself. bov, 38mm wastegate, and a magnaflow that will go after turbo. i just dont care about leaving that .10 or two on the table. i hate that sound. im only outsourcing the welding of the charge pipes. 400$. so i dont know waht you have in your. but thats a fairly cheap kit. and its realiable. for 4500 id have a built tranny

I have an S trim 76mm .96 AR Garrett that was part of an HP Mustang kit that I bought used from a friend (under 1000.00). I have a cheep BOV I bought for 50.00, a 50mm JGS wastegate (new but second hand), Seimens DEKA 57# injectors that were free but were low impedance so I had to buy a driver. For a fuel pump I just have a Racetronix kit for now. I welded everything myself, built it out of 304 stainless on the hot side and aluminum on the cold side. My intercooler cost me 100.00, I got it off a friend that bought it and it was too big for his car. I have a 4" dynomax race muffler and built the rest of the exhaust out of 304 stainless also. I bought a BMR turbo K-member so I could fit the 4" down pipe and Keep my A/C. I did everything myself, even bought a 75.00 used Weldcraft TIG torch off ebay for the build but bought a new welder halfway through the build with high frequency so I could weld aluminum. What really ended up costing me were all the little things that kept adding up, it seemed like every 2 weeks I was spending 450.00 on mandrel bends or flanges or something.

Don't forget about the boost referenced regulator

I have probably 2500-3000 in my setup. I Spent more like 4000 or so, but I sold alot of the items that were on my car, exhaust, nitrous, fans, radiator, tires, lid, maf, bunch of little things that added up just like all the little things that added up to 4k. I also bought a turbo that was too big for 500 and sold it for 950, so that helped out too.

I'm going to put on a hotwire kit tomorrow, so hopefully I'll be dropping my pressure on the regulator.

Sent you a pm Hummer

unfortunately cheap and turbo dont go together. I spent probably 33% more than expected on mine.

you can do budget for way cheaper, but it would help knowing your goals.

properly turbocharging an ls1 will cost you quite a bit of money. and by properly turbocharging i mean lowering the compression, and at least changing the pistons and rods. and lots more stuff like high volume oil pump, bigger fuel pump, injectors... and the list goes on.

Though I agree...sooner or later you have to draw a line and say..OK...this is my starting point...and as things break or fail you replace them or beef them up. I mean..one thing leads to another, and another, and another, and another...I have yet to ever see the "End" of a build.
