differences in blow off valves
from the site
When should a standard air bypass valve be used?
A standard air bypass valve should be used on all supercharged applications where the supercharger is making more than 6PSIG. The advantages of using an air bypass valve includes eliminating compressor surge (the noise heard during deceleration) for quieter supercharger operation, and reduced heat soak in the discharge tube and the supercharger.
When should a race air bypass valve be used?
Any supercharger system that is operating in excess of 10 PSIG requires installation of a race air bypass valve to prevent compressor surge. All V-1 R, V-1 T, V-7, V-3, and V-4 superchargers require a mondo air bypass valve.

The correct spring is critical because, Prochargers especially, need to bleed off air close to idle.
Turbosmart Products are the best on the market. Not only because of the price, but because of the customer service, the longevity, and the overall finish of the product.

Im also testing the new Vee Port. Smaller than its predecesor, but apparently flows more and sounds great. We'll see, its going on the typhoon with 15psi.

Select the following spring pressures based on engine vacuum reading:
0 to -7 in/HG (or supercharger) use 3 PSI Spring (Pink)
-8 to -11 in/HG use 6 PSI Spring (Black)
-12 to -15 in/HG use 8 PSI Spring (White)
-16 to -19 in/HG use 10 PSI Spring (Silver)
-20 to -21 in/HG use 11 PSI Spring (Purple)
At that low boost you can use the factory BPV

I have a -3 and -6 comin.
Anxious to try it out and see what happens.
