Default Compatibility of my H/C setup with FI?

My 99 FRC Vette is a lot of fun at 410whp, but I'm beginning to think about which direction I want to go in the future when targeting more hp. I'm thinking that FI makes the most sense. My question for those here in the FI forum is what part of my setup will need to be changed, what part is optional. I have a set of Stage 2.5, 5.3L heads from Texas Speed (10.82 static compression ratio), with a 224/224 .581/.581 w/ 112LSA (I believe +2) with XER lobes, and LG Street Series longtube headers with high flow cats and a Z06 Ti exhaust (if that's even relevant). I have my DCR calculated at just about 8.5 with the 224 cam.

I have no doubt that the correct thing to do for the best performance would be to go with a set of heads with lower compression, and a cam with less overlap. My question is whether that is a requirement, or whether the heads and/or cam I'm running could work with FI. I realize the answer could be dependant upon what type of FI I go with, and what my goals are. At this point, although turbos are to die for, I think I'll most likely be looking at a centrifugal supercharger like the A&A setup (I saw they were selling for a great discount on April 1st). I have no doubt that to maximize hp with a centrifugal supercharger, I'd have to switch my H/C out. I can certainly do that. I'm curious though, what my options would be staying with the setup I now have (or with new heads only or new cam only), if that's even considerable... Someone will probably ask what my power goals are, to which I'd respond that I'm not looking to break any records or anything. I figure 500-530 at the wheel would probably be pretty nice (of course 400 sounded awesome 2 years ago). I'd take more, but for the discussion at hand, the name of the game is whether my H/C could take FI and give good results in the very low 500's.

You can easily put a supercharger on that setup, run low boost, and make way more than 500whp and still be safe.

The cam you have is as close to the perfect FI, be it blower or turbo cam you can buy you know. I ran the same cam on my 6.0 and it was awesome. Nothing wrong with your head either, you might have to run a methanol kit over 5-7psi, but big deal. I would look into A&As T-trim kit, that would suit your needs perfectly. BTW, there will be people that will try to tell you the 112lsa on that cam is the most terrible thing in the world, but my bet is they havent tried it. It works, plain and simple, and works better on a blower car than a wide LSA as a matter of fact. Just my $.02
