Good pieces, the main 2 big variables are how much boost/octane/timing are you plannin on throwing at it? What I think you'll hear is a bunch of responses regarding the lifting of the 317 heads over 18psi or somewhere over 700ish rwhp.

If you're looking for a reliable 500-700rwhp fairly tame street car, I think you have a good recipe for that (depending on tranny, cam selection, boost/octane).

Well i don't know too much about this,i'm looking for 18 psi of boost with 93 octane.
The trans is an 4l60e but is fully build or th400, if i can sell my 4l60e.
maybe later i'll buy the AEM and tune with race gas.
i don't know about the timing, so i can't tell you.

18psi on 93 with no meth might be hard to accomplish, you'd have no timing in it and it might be kinda sluggish or not be ideal.

Not to imply anything, cuz I don't know what you've been behind the wheel of, but generally speaking, much over 600rwhp on the street gets to be useless unless you have a full suspension'd car on a sticky tire. But, I think the right combo like you mentioned above could get you there, but you'd probably need less than about 9:1 compression to get away with even 15psi and 93 octane with any timing in it.

that combo with the right cam (and methanol) would be good for around 800rwhp, with the limiting factor being the 60lb injectors that will only get you to ~800 with lots of meth... If you go with a larger injector you could see 900+rwhp... good luck with the build...

That setup is nearly identical to the the one in my truck. The only difference is I have a stock truck intake and fuel rails and a turbonetics t76 bb. I ran 11.41@116mph at 7.5 psi and 10.93@124mph at 12.5 psi. Both passes were with 12 degrees of timing and afr of 11.2-11.3. Trucks race weight is 4600 lbs. Your setup in a f-body will haul at 12 psi if you can get traction.

Have not been on a dyno. All I know is it takes alot of power to move a 4600 lb billboard that fast. Imagine the same combo in a much more aerodynamic vehicle that is 800-1000 lbs lighter.

You have to be pushing about 700 fwhp at that raceweight. Probably just under 600 to the wheels.
