Turbo v6 camaro?
I would also just save for a nice ls1 car. This spring i am in the process of putting together a cam nitrous car. I have fast 42# injectors, ls6 manifold, NOS plate kit, i decked my 853 heads 30 thou and installed a vindicator cam with all the valve train and acc. to run the cam and an underdrive pulley, for under 2500 bucks. The year before i did pacetter LTS and ORY, spec 3 clutch and LM1 catback, and lid. so for a car that can run 10s and be over 500 rwhp and tq. I did it for about 4 grand. Just have to be patient and good deals on parts always seem to come up.

If you're not sure on what you are doing, FI can be a steep and sometimes expensive learning curve. If you want to do something that is reliable and you can just hop in and drive then it might not be your cup of tea.
If I didn't want to tinker with the car and pour alot of sweat, blood, tears and cursing I'd save up and buy a V8 car. You can find a reasonable one for cheap, especially if you can find a Formula cause people don't recognize it as a V8 car most of the time.

yeah turns out the guy i got the car from said it just needed minor work but when he pulled it out of storage and got it to my house the motor is just gone...168k and the head gaskets were blown...it was sitting since 05 so i might just have to find an ls1 or lt1 to throw into it
