Default will i have too re tune ?

i have a couple of questions



if i swap my bov for a turbosmart ,turbonetics or tial bov which ever one i get i havent decided , will i have to retune my car. i have a cheap bosch one that y i ask

will i need to retune if i run a turbo timer as well

do i need a manual boost control if im not going to be tampering with the boost im going to keep it at 8lbs with a 44mm tial wg

you shouldnt have to as long as the setting are all the same.

and

2- dont get a turbo timer.. save the money

No re-tune is necessary if you change out your BOV. All it do's is , basicly what it say's it will do. Blow's off excess air pressure. No boost controller is needed as long as you are happy with the boost level that the wastegate spring provides.

do you guys think the bosch will go out really quicklly or can it wait for a month or so before i change it ?

the only reason i asked about the bov because i seen some people made more hp with swiching them thought it would have to be retuned thanks

Im pretty sure that you are not going to see any gains other than a cooler sounding blow off, all a BOV does is relieve excess pressure when the TB closes, so it doesnt go back through the compressor and spin it in the opposite direction. I recommend the turbo smart mega sonic BOV, is sooo sweet.

I've been running the cheap bosch valves (2) that came with my APS kit for quite a while now. They don't make much noise, but I have no complaints about them. You should be ok as long as you'd like to wait.
