Default Dry sump systems?

I was just wondering what dry sump systems you guys run on your high hp turbo engines that are around a 402 cu/in. Links would be great thanks.

i know this guy local to you. he has a killer 408ci car with a turbo. he called me up today to remind me that he already told you a dry sump is unnecessary for what you are doing

haha i know i know. i was just curious since it pulls a vacuum on the crank case which is nice to have under boost. I would love to experience this hulk like power of your car, but the poor girl is always having issues lol. i think you have her pretty well worked out for this year, maybe actually get to fine tune all the little things. The whole car has been redone.

I say do a vaccuum pump if it's merely that your after.

Why exactly do you want dry sump? If its a full out race motor, it'd make a hell of a lot more sense to do as its not very cost effective for extracting the last bit of horsepower, but very effective at saving engine oil starvation

There's ARE,
Aviad,
Moroso,
and some others that escape my head at the moment.

Price range: It's the plumbing, misc stuff and labor that also needs to be factored in.

If you want to do it right....Use a Starr standard vacuum pump and either a Barnes or a Stock Car products external oil pump. You'll still hold the oil in the pan just have a much better oil supply. I did a 5 stage dry sump with a 4 section divider pan and its expensive.
Custom Pan: 600-1000
Mandrel: 300
Dry sump pump: 1000-1500
Oil canister: 500-800
Lines and fittings: 500-800
Oil filter relocation: 100-300

I'd call Chris Straub and enlist his help for a dry sump if you go that route.
