I run the Taylor 10mm's on mine as well, but I use the TR6's.

Default LNC problems

Although we have had a few of the LNC controllers (LNC-001, LNC-002 and LNC-003) go bad over the years, the majority of the LNC controllers we get back test fine on the test bench and in a test vehicle and the problem turns out to be vehicle/installation related.

If the problem is happening with no external connections to the LNC other than the coil pack connection points then the things we recommend checking are:
  • What type of spark plugs are using using? With most vehicle electronics, our module included, you have to run resistor type spark plugs.
  • What type of spark plug wires are you using? The wires need to be noise supression type wires. We have had some problems with some of the low resistance type aftermarket wires that do not offer good noise suppression. Easy test - put the stock wires back on.
  • LNC wire routing and mounting location. Make sure the wires don't follow along or get near the high voltage side of the coils and the spark plug wires. Try routing the wires a different way and/or mounting the LNC in a different location. The wire to/from the LNC is the major concern and less so the LNC itself.

well mine works now for some reason. nothing changed, nothing was said to be done to the 2 step at lingenfelter. it now studders, which before it wouldnt. only thing now is a couple times it just shut off but i think the car was way rich. ill know more tonight. Taylor wires also

i swapped back to stock wires and rerouted how the coil harnesses were ran and now everythings been fine

I ran the taylor wires and TR8's. I had a problem with mine. It sounded simular to the trouble you guys are having. It turns out it was my battery going bad. For some reason the reduced voltage was causing trouble but only when the two step was plugged in. After I swapped in the new battery it was all good.
LPE was VERY HELPFULL. I called several times, they could not have had better customer service. CLASS ACT
