The k-member and all suspension is still together. You unbolt the k-member from the frame and the tranny x-member and raise the car up and the motor stays put. It is ALOT easier to do it this way. Especially since all my parts are new, I didn't want any overspray on anything. To do a good job , this is the way to do it. Just like painting anything else on a car, you want to remove as much as possible to do a good job.

It's getting closer. I wrapped the headers this time. I will see how I like it, and if not I will get them coated. I painted the intake tube gloss black. Turned out really nice. One problem though. When the turbo kit was built it was built on the original worn out rubber motor mounts. I had a set of solid made off of a new set of of stock mounts and I lost appx. 1 in of hood clearance. Here is few more pics.

Hunter, how is your downpipe routed? I thought you can't fit 4" on drivers side due to steering column?

Routed throught the drivers side of the Turbo K-member.
It fits. No worries there.

We used the Turbo K-member and that allows the extra room for the 4in. down pipe to fit.

Little update. All the fuel system is done under the hood and return line is hooked up. All vacum lines hooked up, I installed the BS3 today and just have to straighten out the wires to make it look nicer. Dropping the fuel tank tommorrow to get ready for the sump and then add the 3, 044 fuel pumps.
Once that is done, I will be getting the driveshaft made on Monday, and then add some fluids and I SHOULD be done and ready to fire up. I am sure i am forgetting somthing though, but I will do a final check before we fire it up.

The fuel system is done! I had a sump welded in my stock tank, with 3 -10 fittings out of the sump going into each of the 3 fuel pumps. Then I had the pumps setup just like my old car with 2 pumps connected together, but then I added a 3rd pump and connected it with a "T" fitting and a 90deg. elbow fitting. The 3rd pump actually is by itself to a point. It worked out the same as I was going to use a "Y" block but this worked out and it was easier to do.
Then it all hooks up to a -8 line to the rail, and again I am using the stock feed line as my return line to the tank. Here is some pics.

The car would of been running by now, but since we bought Yamaha's new badboy waverunner, the lake just seems alot funner than working on the car in 98deg. weather. LOL!!

I don't blame you. If I had one, I'd be on the lake too!

Yes, I sprayed it the Silver color. It made the headers fit extremely tight. Really no need for motor mounts. LOL!
