I fully agree with you, I don't feel that going larger after K-member (and after all those bends) is going to make any noticeable difference

Am I right thinking that expansion right at turbo and THEN bends is better than bend right at the turbo and then expansion?

I'm going to build one downpipe for strip only, going out through the right side of the bumper, so it's about 3ft long. Will 4" be sufficient for some 900-1000Hp? Or should I try and put some larger bore?
Also I can't imagine how much will it move vertically when engine rotates on it's mounts... I'm afraid it would be some 2 inches easily?
