Zombie made a boo boo and put e85 in his tank
Ok, so it wasn't really a boo boo, I was feeling frisky and the hooker never showed up so I had to do something exciting.
Been wanting to try this. Ran the tank down to "oh crap I'm gonna need to call AAA levels" and then added 6 gallons of E85. Took the fuel map in Mega Squirt II (MS2) and multiplied my fuel map by 1.3. An that's about it. Car was a little rich because there was probably .5-1 gallon left of 91. Started driving around on 6psi and the lambda looked good .90-.93 at cruise and .70 at WOT. Since things looked good I drove to another E85 station and added another 5 gallons. This leaned out the mixture to just about perfect. Tried upping the boost more but I could only spike 14psi and then fall back to 12 since the spring is so weak. Got a 14psi spring to install hopefully tomorrow. For the little bit it held 14psi I was able to see the injectors were on for 17mS which would put me at 100% DC @ 7000 rpms. I'll have more fuel info once I get the new spring in.
Observations:
Exhaust note of the car changed, spool felt like it might be a little faster but I don't know. Ran my 100 Octane timing which has 3 degrees more timing (17 at 5200 rpms peak torque and 22 by 7000 rpms) than my 91 octane tune. That seemed to wake the car up and improve the idle. Need to put it on the dyno to find out where the best timing is.
1.99/gallon woot!
Fuel system is stock lines, stock rails, still returnless, dual walbro 255's and 95lb/hr injectors. Don't know how far I can push this setup, but I'll find out soon enough. Injectors are pretty much done is my guess, but I'll buy some 120lb/hr ones to see how far the dual pumps will take me.

yup, but I don't trust my butt dyno, it's not very sensative. I need large changes to be able to tell if there is a difference. PUt the 15psi spring in the gate this morning so that should make it spool faster too since the old spring was only holding 6psi.

I officially a mechanic now, I'm in 1320's garage on the laptop looking up torque specs. Three guys wrenching and me surfing, I'm just the nerd of the group.
So an update on the car. New WG spring is in and is 12psi on the gate. Upped the boost to 15psi and added 5 degrees of timing. I'm running 19 degrees at peak torque and then up to 24 by 7000 rpms. Injectors are running around 88% DC at this level. We took the Undead Sled out as a parts runner to get hoses and fittings since 1320 is in process of turboing a 04 Chevy H1500 5.3L AWD van with a T72 turbo.
With 3 people (4200+ lbs race weight) in it and the a/c on in 90+ degree weather we started making pulls and all was good, no knock and runs very hard. Went 60 miles round trip without a hiccup and the coolant temps stayed below 220. This car rocks.

Its funny, we had 4 vettes, about 5 or 6 turbo cars around the shop today but the "fun" project is the van......and we drive a 10.0 car around to get parts. We have now entered the twilight zone. And the 10.0 car is now flex fuel, and green......whats going on?
