Default Maggie 122 - 90mm TB gains

Hi guys,

I've recently fitted a Maggie 122 to my LS1 powered Holden Commodore with the specs being a stock LS1 bottom end, custom blower cam 224/232, .580/.590, 114.5LSA, Patriot Stage III 72cc LQ9 heads (drops cr to 9.6:1), ARP Head Bolts, stock TB, custom OTR for blower, 1 3/4" long tube headers, twin 3" cats and twin 3" exhaust.

As stated above I'm running a stock 3 bolt 78mm throttle body and I was wondering what sort of gain there would be in changing to a 4 bolt 90mm one as I have both TB adapters. If there is a big difference between the 2 throttle bodies I will look at changing to a 90mm one but if it's not worth the gain then I'll leave it as is.

I tried searching for other people's results but I couldn't seem to find anything. If I was to upgrade I was thinking of getting either an Edelbrock or Holley 90mm one as they seem to be good value for money.

Any help is greatly appreciated.

Any type FI that draws through a restriction will gain power when you relieve the restriction. Draw though designs are much more sensitive to maf and tb size. If you're shooting for +450rwhp the larger TB should be worth 15-20rwhp if everything down stream is properly sized.
