Valvetrain Question
I am 99% sure I am floating the valves about 6000rpm.
My current cam spec is 239*/233* .639"/.629" 115lsa
Should I buy stiffer springs rated to .660 lift like some Extremes or buy a new cam like a TU1, TU2, LS6 or something with a lot less lift.

If your springs are insufficient a smaller cam is not going to help you. What pressure are they set up at?
With your cubes/turbo I would like to see no less than 175-185lbs on the seat.

I pulled the springs off number 1 and 3. Going to LME tomorrow to have them checked. I dropped a valve into the cylinder while doing it. Looks like I get to pull the head now.

That stinks.
Could you sneak a thin pen magnet down the guide to catch the valve, or was the piston low enough to let the valve fall all the way out of the guide?
I like to have the piston near TDC before pulling springs to avoid this scenario.
Did you use an air line to pressurize the cylinder before removing the springs?

I got the springs looked at. They are 160lbs of seat pressure. LME and LMR said that was enough. There ideas where possibly blowing out the spark (tr7 gapped at .032") or a back pressure issue. But they said the cam and springs are fine. I am going to put the car back together tomorrow minus the intake(going to sell it).

Bump.... I forgot about this and almost made a new one. Money got tight for a few months and I never changed the springs. What springs are yall using to achieve 175-185 seat pressure?
