What about the 76gts like black98ws6ta said? Anyone know much about that turbo?

76GTS would work alright but not quite well enough. You will be pushing it fairly hard to get 800whp. I would go with the PT88 because you have room to move.

Ok, well would I have to cut up my radiator support to get the pt88 to fit? I really don't want that. What determies my powerband? The cam that I choose? Or that and the turbo?

I don't think you'll have to move your stock radiator, only if you run some pusher fans in the front and take out your stock fans. I'm in that predicament at the moment. Waiting for my crossover to come in and see how the clearance is. I'm hoping since mine is a 76gts I might can "cram" it in there but we'll see.

Good luck with the build!

Haha, thanks man. Its not that I don't believe you its just some people say this and some people say that I'm just trying to figure why they say this or that turbo will work and works for what I'm trying to do.

If you want overkill then step up into a larger unit.

If you want to leave the radiator in the stock location and have it still gravity drain you will need a compact unit. Again a 76/78gts will do the job, or if you had some extra money you could go 76 billet.

You will be able to run that hp with a borg warner s400 72mm, or a 75mm with out a problem with those cubes.

I'D SAY A T-4 88MM with room to grow. I have a t-6 88 and it has dynod
7 psi= 720rwhp
8 psi=749rwhp
9 psi=780rwhp
that was with only 12 deg of timing.
t-4 MIGHT give you more clearance...that i do not know...just guessing.

Is this on a 346?? Automatic or M6?? Thats alot of power but if i can get 820-840 on kill mode i would have accomplished my goal.

NEVERMIND, i looked at the sig and seen the video. Nice car dude.

what's the difference between a t4 and t6 flange? power or room to grow with a t6?

hey cablebandit, i just watched your video too. how the hell does your car come outta the hole so damn smooth like that? your car looks in total control through the whole 1/4???

to the OP, im in the process of learning about turbos also, and i also am going for a true street car but wouldn't you think over 700rwhp would be overkill and take away the fun factor? im thinking of going with a 347 with a t76 or 78 if theres any difference.

i just watched you vids and your car is crazy. I want my car to be exactly like yours, a street cruiser that runs 9's. I'll settle for high 9's your right at 9.5. you could take a lot of dedicated race cars with those numbers. what psi do you race with?

I made 867rwhp, 25psi, 8:1 348 cid, with a GT47-88 1.08 T6. Through a 6 speed I'd guess that would be more around 900rwhp. But you can run into packaging issues.

PT88 w/T4 might be nice.
