Last nights scenario:
Brent ran the Camaro as Ted is on a cruise ship this week, Brent's first time driving it. It was very humid and in the mid 90's, the DA was around 3850. Wednesday night test and tune means very little track prep. Brent's first pass was something like a 9.85, the car did not hook and was moving around a lot on the greasy track.
2nd pass did not happen as the cog belt on the blower destroyed itself on the first pass. We're not sure yet why it happened, but this was the first time out with the car back together and the new F-1C on it. Apparently we overlooked something being out of alignment as last year we had zero problems with the blower belt once we had it dialed in.

I ran the Hummer several runs, it was blowing all four tires off the starting line, it did manage a 2.02 60 ft time. It would start to drift as all four tires spun, sort of a weird feeling. It ran a 14.23 at 98 mph, I wish it had been cooler outside, the track was just too slick. Bob

I hate when the track is ****.
What did the camaro trap on the 9.8 pass?
It seems these cog belt set-ups are a little touchy. Mine started shreding on the one side because it was rubbing on the crank a little too much. I adjusted the tensioner pulley to hold it just a touch off of the crank and seems to be ok now. Belts a little thinner now due to cutting off the loose shreds but it started at 70mm wide so I have plenty of belt left, hopefully it holds up for a little bit. $200 a belt get's expensive quick lol.

That sucks, I was praying to the drag racing gods that you would get a new best.

200.00 belt is better than 2000.00 worth of front end parts though, hopefully the belt didnt tear anything else up..

So do I, it did something like a 139. Brent was only going to initially do a half pass but ran it out slippin and slidin.

No, I was afraid it would break our scales.

Thanks KP, I hope it happens. The belt took out the fan but it could of been worse. Bob
