Default Vic Jr or LS6?

I tried to do a search on this and I really didn't find enough information.

I am currently building a forged 347 for my D1SC Procharger

2000 Trans Am.

Right now I have the STOCK Ls1 intake so I will be buying a new intake for my build.

Should I buy a Vic Jr and put a TB elbow on it?

Or a LS6 and stick with the stock TB? Or Ls6 and upgrade the TB?

And also I would like to not cut anything if I don't have to with the Vic Jr

flip a coin, both are very capable of supporting your needs. A ls6 with a ported tb is what I would suggest for the budget minded. and again, VERY capable of getting you to your power goals.

Yes I am sure. I have seen the Ls6 well above my power goals, which I would like to see 700ish rwhp and in the 10's for ET's

But is either truly a better intake than the other for boost?

With only 347ci's you would probably lose some bottom end torque with the carb style intake, i'd go with the ls6.

Well I need a intake that will feed my 225cc 72cc chamber AFRs lol..

I'm Not trying to make a budget build here, I am trying to sqeeze all the power out of my 347 I can

Pushing air through this O and then into this O would be stupid I think.

If that's the case I would get a Vic Jr and have it ported. Or a Super Victor.

I just ordered a Vic Jr/elbow setup from summit, $455 bucks shipped. That is pretty cheap.

Yeah that's what I was thinking considering a Ls6 is more or close to that...

My question to you guys is, will I have to cut my cowl with a Vic Jr, or a Super Vic?

It depends what elbow you go with, but with the right one combined with the vic jr, you wont have to trim. 'Trust' has this setup on his car and nothing appears to be cut from what I have seen.

If you want to make power, stick with the LS6

If you want it to look nice, buy something else.

For a 346 and a D1SC, I totally agree

With the Ls6, What TB should I run? Ported stock, or upgrade?

Depends on your budget. But a larger one wont offer any benefits IMO. And porting a standard one is free if you do it yourself.

I have an intake elbows elbow and I had my intake milled a little so it didn't bend the cowl. You can get it to fit without cutting the cowl, but it will bend it up.
