Whats confusing..its very simple

The driver box has nothing whatsoever to do with the fuel pressure regulator.

I have a set of these on the car. My inj duty cycle went from 102% during my 704rwhp 1 BAR dyno pull with Motron 60s (actually 65s) to 76% on my 775rwhp 2 BAR SD dyno pull. I just changed the IFR & they worked perfectly.

And changing over to SD isn't something I'd recommend without your tuner there. Drive it on the trailer in 1 BAR Maf mode & change it when you get there. Following the HPT instructions makes it pretty straight forward, but it won't run worth a crap when you fire it up the 1st time!

As for what else you'll need, I have the Nasty Stage III fuel system & the fuel pressure is dead solid. (twin Racetronix pumps built by Lonnie + big lines & a regulator) Give Nate a call....

This will help a little, found this today.

http://www.hptuners.com/products/vcmsuite_enhance.php

I should be able to input all the information via laptop and HP tuners to fire my car up at least and idle it out of the garage on/off the trailer. Rather than pull MAF, swap injectors, and ETC when arriving at the dyno.

+1 on the siemens 83 hi impedance, I have no issues at all with them. Unlike the 75lb RCs I tried years ago. But if someone can hook me up with a converter box and some 95s for less Ill take them

What about SD on the 98's. I thought I read that there are tuning issues when running SD. I tried to find the thread again, but no luck.

There is no problem running SD on a 98 n/a, its doing a 2 or 3 BAR thats the problem.

HP tuners offers a 2 BAR SD for 98s, I didnt have a lot of luck with it when it first came out a few years ago but I also didnt spend a lot of time with it.

You can also do a fake 2 BAR where you half the VE tables and anything else to do with the MAP, it works but you have to disable BARO updates so big weather/elevation changes will require tweaking.

Unfortunately 98s are all alone and a lot of tuners dont bother with them..

I run the HPTuners 98 2bar OS without issues. As stated, there is no 3 bar support for the 98.

......

When you goto SD without a custom OS though you are stuck with the tiny Secondary VE. So right off you are going to be halving a table that you just halved by putting the car in SD without the custom OS. Also since the sensors don't even read to the 'floor' of the secondary table, your resolution really will be unacceptable.
