Default which procharger headunit???

Im running stock 243's with patriot duals, ls7 lifters, hardend pr's, and MS3 112+3 lsa. My question is I have stock rods pistons and crank, which headunit would work best and be great when I upgrade internals? P1, D1?

One more vote for the D1. Just keep the boost down untill you can build a engine then turn it up.

Agreed, the d1 is a great unit.

Depends on your plans, how long will you have the motor not forged? If you are never going to forge it p1 is plenty, if you want to forge it when your motor goes in 50k or so then just get the p1 and when your motor goes send in your p1 to procharger and get it rebuilt and up to a d1 so you have a fresh blower with your motor. If your going forged soon, d1 all the way.

do you need to change anything when you swap over from a p1 to a d1? i realize the tune may be different but in terms of any hardware is there changes that need to be made?

D1SC all the way. A D1 can be turned down to a stock bottom end friendly boost level for now with room to grow in the future. And even though you may swear that 550 rwhp is plenty for now, you WILL want more down the road I promise. Get the D1 now and spend the extra $200 or whatever the minimal upgrade option is. If you decide to get the P1 now and then have it rebuilt to a D1, its gonna cost you about $1400 or more. Its really a no brainer to get the D1 now!

It depends on what power levels you are looking for. A P1SC will give you 500 rwhp all day. So if you can get a super cheap P1SC then get it. If you want 600 rwhp or more then start looking for a D1SC. I know from experience that 500 rwhp is more than enough for the street.

If you are buying new its silly not to get a D1SC, resale and room to grow is much better. Nothing wrong with a P1SC if you score a good deal on one though..
