Default Why am I not making any boost?

I took my car out yesterday to start tuning it with HP Tuners and according to the gauge I made no boost the whole time I was driving. I had it up to about 4,500 and it was still showing vacuum. I have looked it all over and couldn't see any potential air leaks. Is it possible that my gauge is incorrect or not working right? This is a stock motor with a front mount TC-76 running off of a 7psi spring. Anyone have any ideas?

If you were tuning with Hp tuners what was the map sensor reading? if the map sensor was seeing boost but your gauge wasnt then obviously its the gauge.

You shouldn't be logging the MAF since you have it failed. But for the boost, I don't believe you went over 35% throttle and you aren't logging boost in the table either. Is your PID correct for boost?

It sucks only having the limited space on the table

I realized I was still logging the MAF after I finished driving around. I have changed the PIDs and will be making another log tomorrow probably. Even with only 35% throttle I assumed I should be making some at least some boost. I have seen others have boost by 3,000 rpms and I had it up to about 4,500 and the gauge didn't show any.

What gear were you in ?

4500rpm @ 35% throttle will probably have no boost in 1st & 2nd but 3rd or
4th should see some.

Try a higher gear (more load) and a higher throttle percentage.

You have to also keep in mind that boost at those rpm's are for people at WOT, not just cruising around.

That was in 4th gear I think.

I have a problem now though. The posi unit in the 10 bolt exploded. So it looks like the car will be down for a while.

That's why I bought my 9" and sold the working 10 bolt so I was able to recoup some money. The cheapest 9" I could find was through Bob @ EPP. If you pay via wire transfer you save 100 bucks.

I think you will regret that. I got my 9" for 2250 shipped and the spool isn't noticeable. I thought it would be, but I was wrong. There isn't any gear noise either, I have 3.25's in there, 35 spline spool.

I don't think the spool would be good for me, I still want to do some road course racing with the car.

Do you have either a bypass or blowoff valve installed? Just because you got up to 4500rpm, if the TPS is too low you may not have loaded the motor enough to make boost, like if you were steady cruising at 85mph, the rpm might be there but very low load.

That sounds about right. I was just wanting to make sure there wasn't anything wrong before I continued with the tuning. I guess I will have to wait a while now though until I get a new rear end in it.

Also I have a Turbosmart Megasonic BOV.
