Default 2000 trans am with a procharger how long will it be safe

i got a 2000 trans am all stock cept for the procharger pushing 7lbs of boost, with a built 10 bolt with 4:10's in it. havent got a tune yet jus got the car back and havent done nething to it. the cars got 76k on it. is this gonna b safe after i get a good tune done to it? im not the type of person to floor the car at every chance i get either. some help plz? should i be looking into a new tranny soon? they say at ati procharger that you can run a p-1sc kit with 7lbs of boost perfectly fine in the stock t/a. i jus want it as a nice fast DD with some kick to it. ne idea on how long things are gonna last? Thanks.

You can never guarantee safety, but DEFINITELY get it tuned before thinking about getting in the gas. Which tranny do you have? A4 or M6? On 7psi and a safe tune your motor will be fine most likely, but your tranny, either one, will need some upgrades.

Better tq converter, upgraded clutches, better valvebody etc....I run my D1 on 9psi with a M6 and havent had too many problems. You deff need a tune!!....I think thats the only reason my car runs as well as it does lol
