Default Wastegate leaking around the valve guide ?s.

I was testing my new wastegate with an air compressor, and I'm getting some leakage at the valve guide. Is this normal? It's not bad, but I can here it leaking, and I can feel it when I cap the ends with my hands.

I'm going to take the wastegate apart, and check how much clearance there is. So my next quesiton is how much clearance should there be?

They have a reasonable amount of clearence to cope with heat expansion and do not have any type of seal or o ring between valve stem and giude.
so yes they do bleed off some through the guide/stem.

I checked the clearance, it's only 0.005".
