you coming to sac on the 1st? grudge?
You can run whatever turbo you want with a reducer , no need to switch it out.

I plan on calling Jose in the next month to discuss exactly what turbo I should run for max effiecency within class rules. Maybe I'll run mine with a reducer. Maybe I'll run some big 76mm. Maybe I'll run an 88 with a reducer. I'll figure that all out.

Prob not. I am already starting to tear the car apart to get it ready for 10.5L next year. Gotta drop 400lbs and add a little more power!

very nice. I want to run that class next year, but the rules are ridiculous for efi cars. I cant run a intake bigger than 80mm or throttle body, so Id have to run a ls6 or I can run a vic jr, but I have to run an elbow and small 80mm throttle body which isnt a good combo on a n/a or nitrous car. pretty ridiculous, while carbed cars can run any 4150 carb they want... hmmm...

Pretty much gotta build a great n/a motor and then hope for the best. but I wont be as competitive as I wished.

I don't see any size requirement on the TB. I'd just run a 90mm and go with the flow. I might run a VIC JR next year with a 4150 TB. The class is set up for the BB/SB nirtous cars to win though.......I mean come on, do they really think a single 76mm car can go 8.60 at 3300-3400lns??? COME ON!!!!!

There is a 80mm TB max size. The N20 guys are limited to one plate with 2 noids (1 N20 and 1 fuel) and a 4150 carb style with no controllers. None the less that stang was runnig 8.60's on a small block with N20, thats crazy. The rules state you can use a reducer for single turbos, it might be a challenge but 8.60-8.80's are possible with a big turbo and a reducer with the right motor and setup, or you can do twin 60's too. What I don't like is the weight penalty for an intercooler 200# for A2A and 300# for A2W. I actually really like this class though, if i didn't already build mine for the 275 DR class, I'd do this class.

CARBURETOR / THROTTLE BODY:
Carburetor limited to a single conventional (4150 type design).
********No dominators type carbs allowed.**********
Throttle body limited to a single 80 mm max. 90mm Mass Air Meter max
Dual throttle bodies legal if factory equipped however, they will be limited
to a max 90mm single mass air meter.

so nothing bigger than a 80mm... pretty lame. we are coming up with something that should hopefully flow pretty decent.

There just trying to keep the cars slower than 8.50, they'll start adding weight if they get faster is my guess or go 1/8th mile.

8.50 is a tough number for a car like mine IMO. I have been chatting about turbo reducers with friends and it sounds like there is a point of diminishing returns with them. Its not like you can slap a 76mm reducers on a 106 and run killer times. I'm hearing it makes more sense to run a turbo closer in size to the maximum allowed limit. I'm just starting to make a list of changes for next year and I will talk to Jose for my turbo selection.

I heard Tim has several of there rules in place because he didn't want the turbo guys walking into this class and cleaning house.
