Air Filter
Who makes an air filter that is small as possible with a 4" inlet that will flow 1300cfm?
Right now i just have a screen over the turbo inlet in the engine bay. As you can imagine (and see in my profile pic) there is too much heat thus less power. I want to run a 4" pipe out into the front of the car and put the air filter where it can get some cold air.
Any help would be appreciated! Thanks!

Flow = surface area = size, so you are going to need a decent sized filter. Look into some of the foam ones. Can you post a bigger picture so we can see some detail - may have more ideas and suggestions then.

K&N 41-1400
Air Filter Style: Conical
Length (in): 18.000 in.
Inlet Flange Inside Diameter (in): 4.000 in.
Air Filter Top Measurement: 7.000 in. diameter
Air Filter Bottom Measurement: 7.000 in. diameter
I don't know what it flows off hand, but you might check it out. Bob

I use a Green 2381 http://www.airfiltersonline.com/index.php?productID=156
no pic of it on that website.

Think its the same one...
It has a 6" entry, although I use a 4-6" bellmouth, which obviously helps matters.
Approx 10" tall, and 7.5" OD base tapering down to about 5" at top.
Apart from being crappy green, they are the same as K&N

I was going to try and use UNI filters on my twin setup. Not sure of flow numbers though. I've used UNI filters on my dirtbikes and sandrails for years and they are by far superior to K&N style filters for keeping sand and dirt out. http://www.unifilter.com/online%20ca...utomotive.html
