Big power with th400, what converter are you using?
I'm asking this in the F/I section because I only care to have opinions from people with cars set-up like mine.
If your making big power, 800rwhp+ and running 9s or better with a th400, please share your converter choice and if you are happy with it.
Right now I'm having a hard time deciding between Yank and FTI and don't want to have to swap converters again.
I don't want a shoot out between companies because I know they are both good, I just want to here from people that are in my power range, what they are using and how it's working for them.
Thanks for any help.

I'm not on an FI setup (yet) but I have gone 9.5x with the converter that Lenny @ ultimate built for eastside's lsx car. (I'm only making about 650 at the tires we figure as well, and the 3350 lb car goes 9.5x so it's working pretty good)
Eastside went 8.2 with the same converter and a glide, but the tranny isn't a deal breaker.
I'd call him, he's big into race stuff and has built converter's or ALOT of big power cars. I'm sure he can hook you up with what you need

I always thought Neal Chance converters were the best but they are also the most expensive and are a little out of my price range. I've also considered an ultimate converter because that is what speed inc recomended but I havn't heard much about them on here. To many choices

You wont find a better bang for the buck than an FTI converter IMO. It helps that I'm in Florida and can ship it out and get it back within 3 days (UPS Ground). I've changed my setup 2 times since I bought my converter and have only had to pay for freight (one way) each time (no charge for restall). Customer service is OUTSTANDING. Just call and talk to Greg and you'll be sold.

Chance has two different converters.... I had there cheaper one (stil not cheap $1600) weld togeather unit and loved it and wont hesitate to use him again.
His more exspensive bolt togeather units are the ones that are close to $3K
ATI is another one to look into.... ill be using them for my GTO.
