Default Turbo K-Member question

Sorry if this is posted in the wrong section....

Just curious as to what good or bad experiences people have had with the BMR Turbo LS1 K-frame. It looks like I will need a different k-frame to route a 4" DP, and am just wondering what (if any) problems people have experienced with this unit.

Thanks.

I run the bmr kmember with my aps tt kit. It is the regular ls1 k not their turbo one.
It seems fine.

Close...but I'm looking at the km013. It has the mount towers on it.

I see, I'm curious about this too. I'm thinking about getting the same K-Member.

I have the BMR Turbo K-Member with the tower mounts. I love it. 4in exhaust fits fine.

Just curious....how long have you had it on your car? And is your car a DD? I guess I'm wondering how well they hold up in "real world" every-day driving.

They should be no issues for a daily driver at all. I'm running a 4"DP through the driver's side on mine. I did have to massage it at the steering shaft but it's alot better then the plain BMR K I was running before for clearance.

I havn't had the chance to drive mine yet, but I have friends that have the same k-member and no issues at all. In fact the BMR k-member is alot befier than my old k-member and it was drivin alot without issues. You will have no problems with the BMR K-member.

I have broke 3 of the original design BMR k-members.We have the new turbo k-member in the street car and i can tell you it's made a lot better than the first ones. We have had zero issues.

I use that k-member all the time. No complaints. I have run 3-5" DP down both sides.

Like everyone else has pretty much said you will have no problems street driving this or our standard K-member.

If you have any other questions I can help answer please feel free to ask

OK...Here's the $600.00 question: Any kind of deal on price or shipping for buying direct from you?

You know I had to ask.

I had one of the original ones of my stock powered daily driver and the welds came apart by the drivers side motor mount this caused the whole motor to sag and my harmonic balancer was grinding on my stabilizer bar. After that I don't run anything BMR on my car. I would go with a different one like the double tube ones.

Apparently, the early ones had issues...but many have had zero problems with the newer design. Thanks to everyone for sharing their experiences with this part. After much positive input from you all, I ordered the km013 unit from BMR. Now, I'm looking forward to FINALLY getting this project moving (literally).

Thanks again everyone.
