Very nice Rob! If you don`t mind me asking what is the diameter of your intercooler piping on your production kits. I don`t suppose you`d take a TT kit on trade in for one of your kits?

Another Incon chiming in here . . . my last outing on the dyno was at 10psi, 91 octane ( NO race fuel ) and 50/50 mix of water/alky spraying. Made 533/567 bone-stock down to the springs. That was at an A/F of under 10.

Possibly this Saturday I will be back to dial in the water/alky ( it's way too rich! ). I hope to to see your #'s ( at least HP ). I am only running 15 degrees ramping up to 17 . . .

here is the question.
lets say your reach the 600rwhp mark.
are you planning on testing longevity at all?

I would like to see you hit 600 and then try to get 20-30,000 hard miles on the engine at that powerlevel.

THAT would be a great test of how much a stock engine can take.

IMO longevity has more to do with WOT runs than part throttle.

If you pamper the car its likely going to last you 100K mi just like any other car would.

But why would you wanna do that with a car putting out close to 600rwhp?

I really want to see how fast it can go with a 6spd

YOu never got around to my question on the other thread Rob...

CONGRATS ...I am keeping a close eye on this build up. Your kit with the upgrade is exactly what im leaning toward now.

Quick question (not trying to hyjack the thread)...how hard would it be to get the production kit to mate up to the 90mm TB/intake FAST has coming out?

Thanks

Sorry I haven't answered. I was out sick today. Looks like the Flu bug finally caught me. It got everyone else around me last week.
Anyway, here goes:

Reckless - Yes, stock PCM, using only LS1Edit tuned by yours truly. With 57lb Siemens injectors from Racetronix.

Gator- the peak numbers drop off fairly quick because of the weak valvesprings. In its' current state, I would be shifting it at about 52-5300.

Chris- no "float", but they do show to be weak.

MYTurboTA - Our IC piping is all 2 1/2". Sorry, I can't take your TT kit in on trade. But nice try.

ChevyNo1 - Lean that thing out and you're gonna make some serious power!

Blackbird - I plan on running it hard daily. Don't know if it will last days, or months.

sscam68 -I plan to run it at the track this Friday actually. Only problem is, we didn't have the time to fix the T56 yet...so it grinds pretty bad going into 3rd and 4th. I'll have to really baby it shifting......so who knows how it will ET.

Revelation - I don't think it would be tough at all to make it work with that TB. I'd just need to get a good look at it.

Transdamit - Jonathan said he talked to you on the phone Friday evening and updated you. Nothing has changed since then.

I would be happy to tune your car. I just can't believe you should have to travel 1000 miles to get it done. Isn't there anyone close to you that has some tuning experience? (I am however flattered you asked )

Transdamit - you have a PM.

I`ve had it tuned localy 4 times and the best they could manage was 400rwhp @ 10psi and it still ran like crap. Feels like it`s strugling. 400hp @ 10 psi is BS to me. My parents live in minnesota so I drive the car there every spring. Your shop is right on the way. Plus you know what works tuning a turbo ls1.

Detroit Z-

That is my car making the 600rwhp with 634.8rwtq with a stage one incon kit.

We did that on 11lbs. 42lb injectors, and a wahlbro 340 in tank pump.

Motor is 100% stock, springs, pushrods, lifters, cam, valvecovers, intake, only thing i did was add a few small turbo's.

I made that pull in the summer. I have not had the boost below 10lbs since then. I have about 16,000 miles since i put the turbo kit on! about 5000 of it has been on HIGH boost levels, (since we turned the **** up).

On pure 116 octane, we have had the boost up as high as 13.5. but we have only done that 2 or 3 tanks of gas. I have never got to make a dyno pull with that boost level, nor have i had it to the track, i mostly use the car for my personal enjoyment and don't intend on putting a cage in it right away. all i know, is at that boost level, 10 feels SlOW!

I saw the torque curve on BLACK02SS Camaro's dyno sheet, and it is simply AMAZING, the torque cure is a flat line at 600ish rwt though pretty much the entire power band.
you should post it up.

Stenod . . . was that pull on race gas? So you drive around on 10psi, what gas? What does your timing look like? And what about A/F?

Simply awesome . . . I should be able to do the exact same thing as you, we're identical!

Here's my latest graph on 10psi, 91 octane, and water/alky spraying. This tune I had not pulled fuel in edit to reflect the extra fuel from the alky spraying, check out that A/F!!

Bets on what goes first?

Pistons, rods, rodbolts?

Incredible work!

BTW I have seen z06 engines grenade with superchargers set at 6lbs of boost...usually the pistons let go...This is just a testament of what good tuning can do!

yes the pull was on 110 octane, turbo blue! . I usually pimp around with harlan and our other twin car (both 700+rwhp) so i am forced to drive on 10lbs just to keep up car runs great, never had any problems with streetabilitly either. i have driven the car EVERYDAY for the last 2 months too. we have the A/F set around 12.0 tip in, and drops to about 11.7 by 5900 just to be safe. not 100% sure what the timing is. not my bag

if i can get another tank of 116 in the car, i will turn it back up and see what it makes on the dyno, any guesses???

So you also drive around on 110, or a mix?

My car is also a daily driver . . . I have a backup in case I need it, but my SS is used everyday, just the way it should be

Hmmm . . . I'm scared to estimate
