Default Procharger pully swap ???

Well as usual it's never enough power, so I'm going from a 3.7" pully to a 3.4" pully. My question is because the blower will be spinning faster all through the rpm range will this also produce more power in the lower rpms as well as peak? So the entire power curve will go up?

Also after some searching it seems like the best way to get the pully off the blower is to hold the pully with a strap wrench and use a inpact gun to remove the bolt, then a small 3 jaw puller to remove the pully from the head unit? Are the threads of the blower pully bolt righty tighty lefty loosey or are they reverse threaded?

Thanks guys... Chris

Sound exactly like I did it... if I remember right they are normal thread righty tighty lefty loosey. If you have trouble getting the new pulley on put it in your oven for about 5 minutes at 315 degrees it will slide right on after that.

Cool thanks, I use the "baking" method on my crank pully all the time. Works great.

Also any of you guys use blue lock tite on the pully bolt?

Is your pulley not keyed? Mine is and it slides right off after the bolt is off. And I did the exact same thing, the car sees more air all through the RPM band, and of course you'll make more boost so you will need a retune.

When I bought the procharger from SDCE the 8 rib 3.7" was already on the head unit. So I have never taken one off before.

Thanks for the info, thats what I'm looking for is more power in lower rpm's as well as peak. A retune is already scheduled.

Thanks again, chris

Not an easy place to make power up here where the planes fly. It is nice to have 3 ski resorts all with in a 10 min drive, so the love-hate relationship continues.

I have not yet, I'm about $1000 short from a 12 bolt rear end. I'm hoping to have enough saved before the snow starts flying here to get some times. The 1/4 mile track down in salt lake city is around 5,000 ft, so it will be interesting.
