Been awhile. Been chasing down an electronics/tune issue. Car idled great and would go up in the rpms fine if you revved it slowly, but if you gave it a quick rev, regardless of where it was in the rpms, it would spike lean then die. That was all at a stand still in my garage. Same thing happened anytime the car was under load (ie tried driving it) it would go instantly lean. Didn't respond to what we were telling it to do in the tune (01 camaro ecu with HP Tuners and 3 bar OS) after 20+ hours of diagnosing and messing with the tune we through a 98 harness in the car with digitalsolo's ecu and it ran MUCH better, and was responding to what we were telling it in the tune. Soooooooooo, rather than go through the hassle of buying another ecu and buying credits and another OS for HP Tuners, I went ahead and bought an AEM EMS. That should be here this week. With the switch to E85 my 80# injectors were going to limit me on power so I pulled the trigger on a VersaFueler and 120# injectors.

Been awhile again. Car is put together. Finishing some very small details and it's off for tuning on RPM Transmissions' Dyno on Thursday.

Quick video of it put together:

Wish you a straight forward dyno day. What are you hoping to put down?

Car is "done". Made 911whp and 866wtq at 18psi but the car wouldn't make power past 5500rpm. My coils were off a wrecked truck and the spark was leaking/blowing out on one of my coil packs. Tracy at Speedfab in Jacksonville, FL tuned the car and did a kick *** job Took it to the track, and without even trying to launch the car (2.8 60') it trapped 145mph on 12psi.

Few shots from a photoshoot last night

Awesome results man. That's more than a handful with that power. Nice shoot too. Hopefully I'll have mine back shortly.

I didn't read Your previous post so the launch & the 2 short shifts almost made me click the browser back button. I was thinking "this is gonna be one of those oh-so-glorious ~120mph passes". Then u grabbed 3rd...

This build just became one of my all time favs. Thanks for sharing!

Regards,

Kurt

Thanks guys! Actually the first pass I made in the car it ran in the 120's but I had to "pedal" it once in 3rd and had to completely get out of it in 4th twice Track was really slick on the big end due to oil and water downs in that lane earlier in the night that I wasn't aware of. Car dead hooks on the street in 2nd 3rd and 4th
