Heat shielding I have been looking around for heat shielding and I figured the type that is offered in the APS kits would be perfect. Its the moldable type that they supply to cover the exhaust manifolds.
Does anyone know who manufactures and/or sells this? Its great stuff but I dont know the brand name.

Get a turbo blanket and do it right the first time.

thats definitely what I DONT need. I am using cast style manifolds and want to put a heatshield over the manifold. APS supplies this moldable foil heatshielding that is clamped to the manifold and shaped to fit around each primary. I havent been able to find this stuff. I can comeup with the foil faced cloth sold in the turbo wrap kits but the stuff Im looking for holds its own shape.
Forced induction road racers use it alot and some of it is even made out of inconel. I just havent been able to find it.
Id hotlink a pic from APS's instruction manual but its a pdf so a bit tough to show a pic. If you dont know what Im talking about download the install manual for a GTO or Vette and go to the part about installing the heatshielding. At that point youll see what I am in search of.
