Default turbo ls1 piston recomendations

I have my eyes set on either a set of Diamond or Wiseco pistons. i have a stock 04 GTO 5.7 LS1. I already have FelPro MLS head gaskets, ARP rod and head bolts and main studs. My next purchase is gunna be pistons, I dont want to buy a crank or rods (budget motor) but i dont really care to put boost to a cast piston. this will be a daily driver, I plan on running a Godzilla T76 .81ar/60mm waste gate off of eBay what pistos do yall recommend? what compression ratio should i run? 8.5, 9.5, or 10.5? all of this is going into a 1985 S10 with a T56. can only fin the pre-mentioned pistons for a little over stock bore and stock stroke. Supposedly Mahle offers some but I haven't got around to call them yet to find out. Let me know what yall think.

thanks

Either are fine, how much boost and or power are you hoping to make? The stock crank will be fine but it might be wise to get some rods too. And if it were me, I would run about 9.3 9.5 just to keep it responsive out of the boost especially on a t56 car.

I lean toward favoring Wesico for FI builds. Maybe it's the coated skirts I like more about them but I know I have always been told Diamond for N/A or juice & Weisco for boost.

I have wiseco in my build. They slap for about 5 minutes when cold. This is a bit annoying
and could be because of how much piston to wall builder put in my build. I can't really ask him about it now he is deceased. I may have the specs somewhere . I did tell him was looking for around 1000rwhp with boost and spray.
I can live with the 5 minutes slapping since many stock ls1 have it too and some for a lot longer like all the time. But still might have tried another make of piston. Also I may not have the very newest wiseco pistons my engine was done year or so ago.
They were custom ordered and 9.5 compression with ugraded piston pins.

KEITH BLACK makes 4.00 bore 2618 alloy dished pistons as large as 18.6cc. That should put you in a boost friendly zone for moderate boost under 15 psi with stock heads. Ive got set in mine now. Cant say how well they work yet. They were nicely priced at $425. I paired them with a set of scat 7/16 bolt 4340 I-beams for peace of mind. I plan on hitting it with 15 psi and see where it gets me. And maybe a little 50 shot.
