Default Turbo smoke....

I had a cheap ebay turbo, it popped one day and blew oil into my intake and exhaust. Bought a Master Power 76mm, ran awesome for 3 weeks now its got a James Bond smoke screen going on.

-Only when hot, gets worse the warmer it gets
-PCV system is both valve covers with hoses going to a vented catch can
-Switched to 15-50 Mobil 1, after new turbo I went to 10-40 thinking 15-50 was too thick
-10AN return line, no restriction, goes about 10" down at a 30* angle right into the top of the oil pan
-Feed line is a -4an, .060 restrictor
-No oil in exhaust at all, very thin film on the cold side piping before the IC, maybe from the ebay turbo blowing?
-VERY thin film on the inlet side where my air filter goes
-Compression test showed 150psi in all 8 cylinders, no oil on plugs
-Does it during all driving (accel, decel, idle, but gets worse in higher RPMs)

Any ideas? I'm lost

Does your car still have cats? Cats full of oil? Why did it wait 3 weeks to show up though? Restrictor not big enough and ruined the new seals?

Anybody else have ideas? Should I go back to 5w30? Its the old style MP, with the 4bolt DP flange, not the Vband style btw.

Well oil is usually not the turbo but other things. Crankcase pressure problem. Blocked drain line. Why would a non bb turbo need a restrictor?? You are likely cooking the bearings out of your turbos. You use a restrictor only on a BB turbo.Master power is not a BB turbo..
If its not engine then your new turbo must be fried most likely as said from that restrictor.
Check oil drain also make sure line is clear.

How well does your turbo (where it's placed) gravity drain? Is the turbo low?

Also, until you get this resolved, check your intake, cold side piping, and charge pipe very often!

If the turbo is already fucked, then there's only one thing you can do unfortunately... New turbo or rebuild $$$.

A seal is probably shot inside the turbo. If theres nothing on the intake side pull the exhaust off and see if you can see oil inside the exhaust down pipe and turbo outlet.

Contact master power dealer or company and find out if you need a restrictor at all .Most non bb turbos don't run any restrictor. Still betting thats the problem.

No oil in exhaust, turbo doesn't sit low. Has about 8" of -10AN return line directly into the top of the oil pan, I'm 99.9% sure its not a return problem. If I only have a thin thin film of oil in the charge pipe, do you think its saveable? I'll look into the no restrictor, the inlet adapter has a restrictor built into it and I didn't even think twice about it...might drill it out.

Thanks for the help guys, I'm still kinda new to this.

Well, I ran a restrictor on my Master Power T-70 I had... It sat really low with my turbo kit, and oil was passing the seals. It stopped smoking.

It didn't kill it at all. I ran it for two years hard, removed it in perfect shape, then sold it for $350.00.

I'll go re-measure my restrictor today, I'll get pics of how low it sits, not sure whats considered "low", its probably different to me than you guys.

What size restrictor did you run?
