car is running great. still on the stock bottom end and stock m6

i did not have hp tuner experience prior to ordering it, and after i attempted it im glad i had jeremy formato tune the car. i had way too much time in this build to risk it by learning tuning on it, and after jeremy did it the car runs flawlessly, plus i learned so much from watching him work that im comfortable making the changes on my own now

dude i love this setup. It is EXACTLY what ive been planning to build but i havent seen anyone do it this way. What i mean is that i heard the lt1 rad's are a lil better than ours so i was gonna pick one of those up and just do the same thing as you, move the bolt holes farther forward so it just pulls the rad forward and hope there is enough room b/t it and the turbo. So glad you did cus now i have a lot more confidence doing it that way. i was definitely gonna run a turbo blanket though. The only thing is, where did you get your intercooler piping from (to and from the intercooler)??

how much would you say you spent when it was all put back together?

I remember talking to you a while back about your alternator mount, and consequently I used the same idea on mine, but I wanted to see if you have had any problems with the belt coming off? Mine did great for a while and then one day (I let someone else drive it, so idk how it happened) mine came off and split in half long ways for about a foot and a half. Just wondering if you have had any problems out of yours.

Ohh and on a side note, when I put the new belt on, I think the alt. bolts were a little lose.

i dont have an lt1 radiator, its the stock 99 radiator, just an lt1 radiator shroud since it doesnt have any sort of airbox built into it and it looks factory. got the piping and intercooler off ebay. as for how much i spent on the whole thing, way too damn much but worth every cent. just take what your best guess on what you think youll spend, and add another 50-75%.

no problems at all, took 3-4 trial runs on the spacer sizes but no problems once i figured it out. i can definitely see it tossing the belt if the bolts came loose though

first time to the track on slicks. turbo setups been good, now the cars coming together

MVI_2978.MOV

MVI_2980.MOV

ran five times, killed the tires 3.

top run was

60': 1.580
1/8: 7.011
MPH: 101.40
1/4: 10.873
MPH: 128.27

The second run felt faster but they forgot to stat the timing system so no slip, shitty.

shitty racing weather, it was really hot and wet out but the car felt good. a couple tweeks and some good weather are gonna be fun

girlfriend took some good pics

Boost is at 9#s. Timing is commanded 16 but the iat got heat soaked and pulled some. On the 10.87 run it was at 15 through third and fourth, on the second it dropped to 14. Didn't like hotlapping.

Gonna fix that and put a 10# spring in this week
