Last time I talked to him, I remember him saying that he would sell me the molds to make them. That was a while ago though. Any idea how much the RMCR lid is? I think you almost might be better off with that. They are also a sponsor. Maybe they will do a group purchase.

Maybe, afterall, they are the only company that still produces Vortech products for our cars.

I am about 100% sure that spectacle is out of business. I was trying to find there contact info and everything had changed

RMCR- Makes a sheetmetal lid now that is simliar to the old spectacle soultions one.

Well I found one of these lids pretty much brand new here on tech. Bolted it on today and everything seemed great until I went to shut the hood...the inlet on the air lid hits the inner hood support. I need about .5"-1" more clearance to close the hood. Am I the only one who has had this problem? Still running the stock Z28 hood.

I'm using the Spectacle Solutions Lid. It has a 3.5" inlet. I'm going to clearance the hood a little today and see if that helps. Seems that both the MAF and the top of the inlet on the lid are hitting the hood.

The only car that I've seen use their lid is the yellow Trans Am that they built.

Update- Clearanced the hood with a cut off wheel. The lid still rubs a tiny bit the bottom of the hood but I can shut it now.

After using the gold metal detector I found that it is really a good device, it can not only help to save time but also can help you to save energy. And besides being used for looking for gold, the gold metal detectors can alao be used to help the archologist in finding treasures and used in many other important places as security tool.
