Cam sizes?

Cam sizes? Is it possible to under-cam a 383cid with a 12# D1SC setup?
I know it's not necessary to over-cam a blower motor. But is it possible to
run out of cam and the power fall off too early?

Yeah thats what i'm affraid of. A 218/224 cam will make a 383cid peek too soon but i'm wondering if the blower will keep the motor from falling off in power. If anyone has any thoughts please chime in.
