Question Rookie turbo question

I got a bud selling an 80mm front mount turbo kit off of his 97 Firebird. It came off of an LT1 engine and im wanting to know if this thing would need some serious massaging or fabricating to get it to mount up to my 2001 Firebird. Its a nice kit for a good price...Thanks in advance for any help and/or advice.

Headers will not work. You will need to modify to use yours. Maybe some truck headers. There will probably be some clearance issues with both hot and cold sides.

Feed into the MAF/TB will be different. Nothing a sawzall and MIG can fix!

Its pretty much guaranteed you will need to mod or make new piping as tight as things can get putting a turbo in place it wouldn't take being off by much to make a difference on "Fit" or "Not Fit"... but if you can get a good enough deal on the hard parts then you are a step ahead!
