What might be the problem w/my #4 cyl and the spark plug???

WOW! it's time for a new shop! By chance did they do the machining? If so just take it apart now!

Best case it's detonation but it the piston has marks just take it apart before it is all junk.

Man, I know you don't want to tear it down again, but I say you get a second opinion from another shop, at least one that has experience with that specific platform. I say look at it as if you were trying to give someone else advice with the same problem, and go with that.

My #7 piston recently lost a chunk on the outside edge (forged). It bent the electrode and 4 valves while it passed the pieces around. I doubt it could be a rod because if it was that bad you would hear it + it would probably hit the flat side the head first. It don't sound good, probably ought to open her up.

Shop called me yesterday and said they were gonna take the head off. So that's a step in the right direction...
