building it yourself........ yeah its expensive, and a p.i.t.a. and nobody cares if you built it or not as long as you win races. I just like building the cars.

We named this car Project Nightmare from the beginning of the build and it has definately lived up to its name. We got the car running in time for the LSX shootout but did not get time to test until we showed up in Memphis. We ran the LSX shootout with 76mm turbos and on 6 cylinders. When we got back from the race we found out the Big Stuff 3 box was bad causing us to run on 6 cylinders.

Once we replaced that we took it back to the track only to find out our MSD Digital 7 box crapped out.

Replaced it and back to the track for testing. This time we broke transmission and found problems with the converter.

After replacing the transmission another 2 times and going through a couple more converters we finally made our first 8th mile hit on all 8 cylinder.

Car ran a 5.0 @145mph just blowing through the converter. The car had no shift extension meaning the rpms did not drop at all at the gear change.

We just sent the converter off AGAIN and should have it back next week to start testing again. Hopfully we will start making progress so we can turn the boost up!

I was thinking that the 88's were on already as the 76's were borrowed IIRC.

I was thinking they were running the 76s since they had them on at the Shooutout. Guess they may have changed them out already.

If wolfe can run at 3250, a small block need to run at 3000-3050, under the current rules the BB TT has an advantage.

Car looks good. It will be a beast once you get the converter issue figured out. Who is building the converter for it?
