IAT on the dyno
Mention the ambient temps as well, boost level and type of FI.
Thanks.
with temps in the 80's, my last dyno test (LS engine)was a little over 105 after the 3 core sheetmetal i/c, around 12 lbs boost, large fan blowing on it
a while back, i had a gen 1 engine i did some testing on, around high 80's, at the track, with 18 lbs boost, i had a reading of 330 degs out of the supercharger, 189 after the i/c, going into the top of the carb
i never took a reading under the carb, surley would have been cooler
where are you guys taking the readings on FI cars? before/after the throttle body? prob would be the same, since the air wouldnt hit the fuel untill right at the cyl head
i never had an engine related problem with the gen 1 engine at the high temps, prob some advantage with the hot air/fuel mixture right at the carb
the i/c on the gen 1 setup was underneath the car, not the best setup
on the LS engine now in my chevelle, its right in front, prob much better airflow, so reduced temps

outside temp was 70 and iat were around 220f @ 20 psi !
