I rarely post here on Tech. I rarely come here for that matter and it is because of the blatant ignorance that surrounds this place these days.

Why such a BS call on 60lb injectors at 1000 RWHP? With a good fuel system that is boost referenced those injectors become much larger and flow a lot more. I've done 1200 flywheel HP on the engine dyno with 60lb injectors. Impossible you say well here's food for thought. Take a 60lb injector @ 43.5 psi and run the base 58 psi of LS engines and a 69lb injector is the result. With nothing more than fuel pressure a 60lb injector has magically become a 70lb injector. With boost referencing and increasing the fuel pressure to 75 psi we now have the equivalent of a 79lb injector. No one would be questioning an 80lb injector being used now would they. I guess an 80lb injector doesn't defy the laws of physics?

RPM, I'm not that far from you and I wish you all the best. Nice work guys!

Very well put!

If they would had ask "how did you do that" they may
have learned something.

But in the world of key board racers the 60’s
are to small.

I'm sorry for bumping such an old thread, but are these LG upgraded the same size as the LG upgrades on the GTO kit?

I was going to build an iron 408, but now I'm more than likely going with an ERL block. So I want to be sure that a 427 won't be too much motor for my APS GTO LG upgrades.

Judging from the graph from the 1st post the motor here definitely isn't outbreathing the turbos used here. So I'd be pretty darn pleased if my turbos were sized the same.

Awesome, thanks for the info.

I don't think I'll need other options after seeing this though. The curve showed no signs of power starting to drop off.

Well I maxed out 60 # injectors with a magnafuel 4303 tied to them with a return. Boosted ref was 1:1. Every setup is different and making 1k with 60's is pretty hard to do. Condsidering Im no tire kicker and have built 950 hp + setups.

RPM -- Did you guys do anything to the inlet setup on the APS kit? I don't see those supporting that kind of power, size of motor, ect. Just curious what you did to the intake setup.
