ok a few more quesitons i have.
do we even know if the gt35r will fit in that location? like have you tryed to fit one up in there?
also in other post on a different thread. someone said the reason we are having problems with the turbos is cause they are to small for the system. like they are to small for a v8. now i know two gt35r will work great on a v8. but a t3 flange and the APS flange are about the same size. as the hole in the flange. they will alow about the same air in.
so question is. will the gt really be the right trubo for it.

I think the T3/T4 is badly under rated as twins on a V8.
I had a 3800 lb car back in the mid 90’s with a 700r & 3.08’s
going 10.70’s with 13 lbs of boost , 2500 stall and 2 T3/T4
57 trim comp wheel & stage 3 turbines with .63 A/R housings.
This was with 92 pump gas and no water/meth.
If I’d put some water/meth on it and 15-18 psi
it may have run 10.40’s or 50’s.
All this with performer rpm heads stock TPI cam
and shifting at 5500.
It was a blast to drive, any time you what’d to play
the boost was there.
There’s the T350 turbine aka stage 5 , P trim that
can be had in the T3 housing and the GT35 turbine.
Any of these with a .82 or 1.06 A/R are a lot better flowing
than my old stage 3 .63 A/R.
I bet a pair T3/T4 stage 5 .82 A/R 60-1 with E comp covers will
give 76mm Q trim all it wants!
But when someone says I putting a 76-Q on my LSX the turbo gods
don’t say oh no it’s to small.
The T3/T4 60-1 old school tech by today’s standards.

The APS housing is a .84 A/R housing. The turbine wheel itself measures 67.1mm on the inducer and 58.8mm on the exducer. I took my APS based td06h 20g apart and mic'd the turbine wheel. If antbody needs more specs on these pm me I have my passenger side turbo in pieces.

I haven't had any problems with my APS setup yet but I would love to switch them out into gt35r's. But I have a 4l80e in the way of everything I would also like to know if there is going to be any room complications. If these replacements are made and work I will definitely be ordering a new set. I am def. following this thread close. Keep us posted.

I have a T350 turbine aka stage5, it measures 61.85 x 70.95.
It has 10 blades.

in the picture below. the flange on the top is a T25/ TD05(mit flange) and the on on the bottom is the APS flange.
no way are they the same.
i would just take a turbo to a laser company and say hey. make me this flange out of 3/8" steel then you have on and make an adapter off of it.

We are working on fitting gt35's on a friends' car. it is going to work, but it is a lot of cutting and fab work to make it work.
i have been told before that the 20g's are just too small for what we are trying to do with them, but LGs' setup is a proven solution.
The gt35r's on my friends' car is going to be a nice setup, but after doing what we are having to do to make the gt35's fit on his car, I will go with the LG upgrades

to small or not. but a guy with the extrem ASP kit which has 20G turbos just went 8.57, that is faster than most of us will ever need to go. so i think louis turbos or the billet will be fine.
