Vortech V3

Has anyone used this head unit on an LS1, or more importantly will it even fit? I like the Vortech kit but was always turned off by having to tap the oil pan. Tried numerous searches back about a year and can't find any threads on this head unit.

i run v3 t trim on my bone stock ls2 :
8lbs boost and tsp headers made over 600rwhp east texas muscle cars did a great job all the details are here

as for the V3 they have done extensive testing on the vortech v3 it actully runs cooler than a conventional unit

RMCR offers a high mounted and a new low mounted tuner kit for the F-Bodys
They are at rmcrperformance.com. In the products section.
The high mounted kit will hold a V-1, V-2, V-3, V-7 head units from Vortech.
The low mounted kit will hold a V-3 Si and a V-3 T trim head units.
