Default Members with turbo close to radiator, come on in.

Question? How much of an increase in iat is there from having the air filter directly on the turbo that is really close to the radiator?

Would i benifit at all if i made an intake pipe and ran it some where the air was colder?

Or does it not really matter because the turbo is alot hotter than the radiator anyway and thats the ICs job.

Pulling air from a cooler spot can only help, just make sure it is restriction free.

I ran my filter on the turbo for a year or two. Then fabbed a 5" alum. pipe that runs to the fog light area.....and put the filter there. I did notice a difference. Mostly like when I start the car after it was sitting in the pits (heat soaked a tad) the IATs would come down pretty fast.

If you have room I say go for it...

Mine is right on the Turbo, mostly due to space limitations, but I would imagine the cooler the air going in the better off you are in the long run...
