TC76 vs. TC78
So, first off, this is for my truck, specs in the sig. In short it's a 10.6:1 stock 6.0 bottom end with ported heads supposedly flowing around 300 cfm. I'll start off by saying that I am all about throttle response and pleasurable daily driving meaning there's power throughout the entire powerband. I thought that putting a 6.0 in would help, but honestly, 6 liters just doesn't cut it at all. It may be fine in a 3200-3700lb car, but not a truck weighing 1000lbs more. So the engine was set up for N/A hence the high compression. I'm going to just run it as it and be conservative with the tune and run good fuel and see what happens. If it pops so be it, just another reason for a forged 370.
Anyways, I came to the conclusion that a turbo setup was what I wanted. I know the TC76 has pushed a 4950lb 4x4 into the 10.30s on a 370, which is amazing. So my question is what is the difference in feel driving between the tc76 and tc78? In specific I am looking at the ball bearing models. On ForcedInduction's website they both cost the same hence this question. My main goal is little to no lag and I'd like to build boost in the 30-35% TPS range while cruising in overdrive on the highway to facilitate easy hill pulling. I'd also like to make somewhere around 550-600 rwhp, but have room for much greater power in the future. I will run an Isky cam 215/215 .566" 114 lsa along with a 4l80e and stock converter which has proven to work very well with turbos.
Thanks.

i think the 78 is going to be to small. its gonna spool fast as **** but what about backpressure issuses? i would go with a st80 atleast and call it a day. that will give you a lot more room to grow later
