This clutch should handle anything I throw at it. Its the Spec PT trim twin disk good to supposedly 1395lbs of tq...if i did a blower it would primarily be the street machine the vette should be with the occasional drag strip visit
theres some good deals out there...complete A&A blower kits for the vette for $4500...Vettedocs/ECS Vortech kits offered at 6500 installed and tuned

With a 4L60 that fun will be pretty short lived even at 3400 lbs

16 degrees.
It seems to be doing ok so far, 83 dyno pulls and about 20 1/4 mile passes, but I'm not kidding myself, I know it's on borrowed time, lol. Congrats again on the times!

Not handy, I talk to him on the phone. You can PM him on SCF, Tom is his screen name there.

That's leaving now! Nice passes! You would have been moving even more in Memphis, DA was -400 at one point. Track had teeth too. Nice conditions there this weekend, too bad they ran such a crappy program for the LSX'rs.

I scaled back to 14* timing to try the 10.0 index and was still in the 9.80's.

What do you think a 3.2 on yours and that weather combo would yield - 8's?

What cam is in this motor?

Weather was great in Memphis for sure, pretty tempting but my sister in law is visiting from Europe and I couldnt do it. Good thing probably since she was bored after an hour at the local 1/8 mile track.

It was no different from the first LSX shootout really, lot of waiting and I ended up purposely losing 2nd round just so I could go home

I dont think the 3.2 would help much, it gets pretty hot with the 3.4 but it may help a little. Honestly I'm pretty happy with the 5.80s, its not pushing any water and its running quick enough. Be easier to pull some weight out to pick up a tenth in the 1/4.

Cam is a five year old Thunder racing 224/227, .550 lift 114LSA , I think it may be a lunati, numbers are ground off the end so I dont know who made it.

Damn, mines a toad. ****....the steel block adds 85 or so but I'm at 3240 without me and gas.....and that's only a six point moly. I drove it to town today and met Bob for lunch...told him I'm done with manual steering! Time to get an LS type of bird!

When did you get the 10pt in her?

NRC did it a couple months ago.

You need just to buy this car and be done with it

I know, but i'm susbscribing to 'dont fix what isnt broke' theory for now. My luck I'd screw something up during the 'good' weather here. If I still have the car in the spring I'll swap it, I picked up a solid tenth and a couple mph with the cam i got from you a couple years ago over the 222/228 XE cam I ran so I expect the same results out of this combo with a cam swap.

I think I recall you using radials in the past and not being fond of them. I forget exactly why though. What made you switch to the radials and what, if anything, did you have to adjust suspension-wise to make them work? It seems like you once you got the tire pressure dialed in the launch was just as good, if not better than the Hoosiers you had on previously. Awesome runs!

I was using M/T radials last year, I first tried 275s and had pretty good luck on my old car (1.28-1.29), then I switched to 325/0s and couldnt get it to hook at all. Figured I got a bad pair and tried another set of 325/50s and thy still sucked. So I went back to regular slicks, figured I'd try the 275/60 Hoosiers and they worked out so far. They have 60 footed the best so far on this car but I was on a well prepped track, time will tell.

The original for sale thread is still up with the pics, there is a link to the original build with most of the details. I'm probably going to hang onto it until spring and try to get it in the 8s in the 1/4 but I may change my mind if someone comes up with the cash.

Hoosier 275/60/15s at 16psi cold, 17.5 psi right after a pass seemed to work the best.
