Would I like to go? Yes, I already said that I had wished I did, but I didn't know it was coming up. It's not like missing a football game where it is advertised non stop on TV, the newspaper, and set to air on the same days every week. (I don't like or watch football by the way, but it is a good comparison.)
Ok, I'll buy your comments. I follow the Ohio Boys year to year. I attend many of the events they go to. I have family that races, builds cars, and has shops. I also follow other drag racing events and classes. I belong to many DRAG related boards. From time to time I've posted in the special events section about special UPCOMING events - but lost interest.

I see you've posted a lot and helped many folks at this board. I'll send you a PM. Return it, I'll put a note on your message. The 2010 event date should come out in March or April. You'll know about next year.

Yes Boss you're so right. Many young racers today need advertising, semi nude dancers, .25 beer, ESPN, CNN, and Fox to inform them of up coming events for anything.

Most parents today can't get their kids out of the house to play unless it's on a field equal to many small college teams. Umps, dance leaders, uniforms, etc. etc. etc.

I've tried to post UPCOMING events. I quit about mid season because I didn't think anyone read the section. I'll try again next year. I remember bitching at my uncle in his shop. All I was ever allowed to do was clean-up. I said when are you going teach me what you know. He said I am not. One day I asked why. I was told to sit - shut-up - and listen. He said when he first went to GM, he made $1.05 per hr. He said that was after working rebuilding lawnmower engines. During this time he also installed cams and did valve jobs. I learned what I know today by DOING IT BY MYSELF. This was a few years prior to him winning NHRA Nationals in 1959, 1960, and 1961.

I won't be that blunt to the folks here who think these events aren't advertised. I'll post events again next year.

I think instead of posting all the heads-up events found in the US next year, even this year. I'll direct the interested members of this board to several web sites:

ONE is 1320X Drag Racing -
go look - you be the judge - go to any of their events - you'll be hooked: gruffy:
