We tried no intercooler, and saw IATs shoot above 180*f in a matter of 4-5 sec on just 8lbs. It was a bit higher then what we felt comfortable, so we shoe horned a 31x12x4 intercooler I had laying around into the front end. IATs never rose much over 25* during a pass after that with very little air flow to the intercooler.
E85 on a blow through set up, Im sure no intercooler would work fine, for an EFI car, I would lean to some kind of intercooler.

reason I ask is I read where a guy went from 200degs on c16 to 120 on e85
also, did you guys run it both ways, Ie intercooled vs non intercooled. was there a significant difference in performance?

is your IAT in the path of the injectors? ie, does it see the cooling effect of the fuel, or is it before the injectors like most setups?

Not sure how we could get the IAT sensor after the injector on this motor, maybe bolt it to the valve?

did you use a coolant hose of a truck for your intake piping to the turbo ?
if you did, keep an eye on it, it might be collapsing in under boost and affecting the amount of air the turbo should be taking in.

It's a hose that maxxmitchell had on his car that we ended up using on mine, we watched it on the dyno and it never collapsed, never had an issue at 14.5lbs in his car and I'm only running 11lbs. It won't be on there this year, setup is a little different.
