I've never used prepreg on any of the CF parts I've made. And I've covered quite a few parts with CF. There are many ways to make the mold for the dry sleves, then lay up your own resin on top of the layers. And yes, you would definitely want to make it multiple layered (I was thinking at least 3)... I think this would be the way to go for curved parts. I mean, if you cant make bends in the pipe, whats the point? LOL

Chad was that using carbon fiber or with fiber glass?

how many layers of fiber glass would be necessary to hold the 20psi of boost?

I've never messed with fiberglass, I've only done CF. I think that 3 layers should hold 20psi with ease. 5 layers would be way overkill, but I'd probably do 5 just because...

You're not going to find a custom shaped intake merge pipe like what I need on ebay, but if you can please let me know.

How thick does 5 layers get to be? I will need to account for that for hood clearance issues.

They list the 3.0 nominal diameter sleeves as 19.9oz material. And even though they don't list a thickness, its probably close to .030 per layer. This is what uscomposites.com lists for the thickness of 19.7oz. So 5 layers of that would be .15 thick plus however much resin you use..
