Default I need some of you guys expert help PLEASE!

I'm waste deep in my turbo build and need some questions answered... I've got a tsp 370( stock balanced crank, compstar rods, and diamond -15cc pistons). I've been going back and forth trying to figure out if i should o-ring the block. I'm most likely going to be going with an 88 and would like to push some good boost. I guess what i really need to know is will that bottom end hold enough boost to be worthy of needing it o-ringed?

Second big issue i have is my heads, I have a set of stage 3 ls6 patriots with 64cc chambers and 2.08/1.60 valves that i was running on my ls1. I wanna run these heads with my turbo motor, but I've heard bad things about trying to make a lot of boost with patriot heads and don't know how much i trust them. I'm going to run these heads no matter what, at least for a little while just to get the car going, but i want to know how much boost you guys think I will be safe to push on them.

Thanks in advance for any input.

Yes, the motor will hold enough to be worthy of o-rings but do you really need them? I went back and forth on O-ringing my 408 but I don't want to machine my heads for them.

Your heads are fine.

What is your goal?

What's your race weight and how long to you expect that 4l60 to hold?

At 3800lbs you are going to need a helluva lot of power and a spot on suspension to go deep 9s. High 9s at that weight is going to take serious power.

I'd be thinking about 1/2" head studs and good headgaskets if you aren't o-ringing. Along with really good tuning.

no doubt tha tuning and suspension will be done right.... i've already have a methanol and nitrous kit if me and tha tuner think it needs either... i'm trying to get some prices on o-ringing and half inch head studs, and if i decide against it i'll do arp studs with good gaskets... i'll probably run this setup for now and go to a better set of heads and a carburated intake with an elbow later... i was hoping to get a little bit more insight on what kind of boost levels i could try with this setup(with oringing and without)

why would you oring the block if it is not even safe to push that motor over 800whp mark on that crank. i know many people push the factory crank to over 1000whp mark but i do not think those guys are telling you the whole story. i am sure the cranks have had some treatments before they went back in to the motor.

from everything i've been hearing i'm leaning towards not o ringing the block, but I'd really hate to get it all together and then realize i should have done the machine work
